I am definitely NO makeup expert, in fact I spend most of my week makeup free. But, when I do wear makeup I have my holy grail products that I use over and over again to achieve my everyday makeup look. I think the beauty market is so crowded these days, that finding products that are right for you can be a real challenge. I can't count the number of times I've bought a foundation that has turned my face orange! Of course, our choices around make up are unique to our skin tone and preferences, but I wanted to share with you the products and tools I use to create a natural makeup look. So, please take a read and be sure to Like this post if you would look to see other makeup looks.
I always begin by applying my Simple moisturiser and Body Shop Vitamin E face mist. These products prep my skin perfectly and allow easy and flawless application of my foundation.
I love to start with brows, as this is possibly my favourite part of doing my makeup. I reach for one of two products, either my Anastasia Beverly Hills brow definer or my NYX Micro Brow pencil. I think it is safe to say, these products have a distinct price difference. Yet, there is little difference in quality and to be honest, the NYX brow pencil works perfectly for lightly defining a higher arch and tail.
In terms of face products, I doubt these will ever change! Starting with my Too Faced Naturally radiant concealer in medium nude, I apply this with a Morphe M410 brush just because I find it easier to control the product when working in small areas. Naturally, next comes my Too Faced Born This Way foundation, in Pearl. I have repurchased this foundation time and time again. I have super pale skin and struggle to find a foundation that sits nicely with my skin tone, however this foundation does just that.
On a day to day basis, my eyeshadow is super simple or none at all. However, if I do then I go in with the Morphe 350 palette taking a light brown/orangey shade through the crease and a shimmer over the lid- I find that warmer colours really complement blue eyes.
Cream bronzer is the way to go! But this stuff is pigmented, so a light hand is definitely needed. I use the NUDESTIX bronzer around my cheekbones, forehead and jawline.
Of course I couldn't create any makeup look without my Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow kit. To be honest, I apply what ever shade I feel like that day, taking it across the high areas of my face with my Morphe M501.
I complete my eyes with the Too Faced 'Better than Sex' mascara- I mean I wouldn't go that far haha. But it is good and then I will apply my NARS velvet lip glide in stripped.
Last but not least, if you are feeling boujee then you can spritz some setting spray. My favourite is the Urban Decay All Nighter and it 100% lives up to its name. That stuff will seriously make your makeup stick.
And this completes my "everyday makeup" look!
